This policy explains what personal data Dork Adore collects, why, and what you can do about it. It replaces our previous policy of 5 December 2012.
1. Who we are
Dork Adore (www.dorkadore.com) is operated by Miramus Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 06874546, registered office 8 St Matthews Gardens, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex, TN38 0TS.
Miramus Limited is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect, and why
Comments
If you leave a comment we collect the name, email address and any website address you enter, your comment text, your IP address and your browser user agent string. The IP address and user agent are used for spam detection.
Comments are handled through two systems: WordPress’s own comment system, and Disqus. Where you comment via Disqus, Disqus is an independent controller of the data you give it and its own privacy policy applies.
Spam filtering is provided by Akismet (Automattic Inc.). Your comment and the associated metadata are sent to Akismet to determine whether the comment is spam.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests, in running a comment section and keeping it free of spam.
Contact form
If you contact us through the form on the site we receive whatever you put in it, typically your name, email address and message.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests, in responding to enquiries.
Accounts and email subscriptions
If you registered an account or subscribed to updates we hold the email address and any username you supplied. Registration is currently closed and we no longer operate an active mailing list.
Lawful basis: consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which posts are read and how people arrive here. This is linked to our Google advertising account, so Google may combine analytics and advertising data. Google acts as an independent controller for this processing. Analytics cookies are not set until you consent through the cookie banner.
Advertising
We display advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies and use device identifiers to select and measure ads, and in some configurations to personalise them. Google acts as an independent controller for this processing. You can review and change your Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.

Affiliate links
Some outbound links to retailers are affiliate links, converted automatically by Skimlinks Ltd. If you click one and go on to buy something, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. Skimlinks sets cookies to attribute the sale, and receives information about the link you clicked and the page you clicked it from.

Embedded content and social features
Pages may embed content from other sites, for example YouTube videos. Those sites can collect data about you, set cookies and track your interaction with the embedded content exactly as if you had visited them directly.

Server logs and security
Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP addresses and requested URLs, for security and troubleshooting.
Lawful basis: legitimate interests, in keeping the site secure and available.
3. Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies are covered in our separate Cookie Policy. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the cookie settings link in the site footer.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it with the service providers named above, each of which processes it for the purposes described:

We may also disclose data where we are legally required to.
5. International transfers
Several of the providers above are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision, depending on the provider.
6. How long we keep it

7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. Some content in our Love + Sex section is intended for an adult audience.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and will revise the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
