Illamasqua Nail Varnishes - Dork Beauty

I have to confess that I’m not really prone to wearing make-up a lot – apart from the odd bit of mascara or lip gloss, my face tends to stay the way it is. My nails however, are nearly always sporting colours.

I’ve been a nail varnish addict for as long as I can remember – so it’s no surprise that I’m absolutely bonkers about British make-up brand Illamasqua. It’s been around since 2008, is a favourite on the alternative scene and boasts an awesomely geeky nail varnish line. Aside from an incredible, theatrical and dramatic make-up collection, Illamasqua also has plenty of bold and bright colours for your nails. Apart from the obligatory base and top coat, there are about 59 shades of colour you can pick from – one for every occasion you can possibly think of.

Here’s the coolest bit though: they also have a line of UV glow varnishes. They’re pretty bold and strong colours to begin with, but if you wear them under a UV light, they shine like a glow stick during a rave. Now that’s proper brilliant.
