If you saw Bang Goes the Theory last week, you’ll have been witness to a cockle-warming scene in which Jem Stansfield tried to build his own human-powered aircraft.
It all seemed like fairly standard Bang Goes the Theory fare, right up until the end when Jem put his flying machine to the test.
The misty airfield at sunrise looked gave the whole thing a magical atmosphere, and the fact that so many enthusiasts had gathered to help, made it feel like something rather special. I got a bit choked up for a moment…
