How to CREATE and MAKE your own film [Sponsored Video]

October 26, 2012 By Katie Lee

How to make your own film storyboardHave you always wanted to make your own film? Do you fancy having your brilliant idea turned into a movie masterpiece?

Well, you’re in luck!

Put together the very best storyboard you can muster and the nice people at ChildLine might just turn your ideas into live action film or animation (with the help of some top British film makers).

If you create the winning storyboard, you’ll be rewarded with a trip to London Town for you and one other person. There, you’ll be able to visit the studio and see the final film (your film) being made.

What’s the catch, you ask?

Err, you need to be between the ages of seven and 16 to be eligible and that one other person staying with you in London will be your parent or guardian.

So if you know any amateur movie makers with big ideas, get them to put together a storyboard for the ChildLine CREATE and MAKE film competition (in association with BAFTA Kids’ Vote) and they could soon be watching their film up on the big screen.

Oh, and the runner-up prizes are pretty neat too so it’s worth getting all young family members to take part.

The winner will be the one with the best ideas, not the best artwork.

Inspiration for how to produce a film storyboard can be found in the celebrity storyboard gallery, including one from our mates over at the marvellous Phoenix Comic

TV presenter Anna Williamson can give you more details in this video.

Find out more about the ChildLine CREATE and MAKE film competition (and download the storyboard template).
