Geeky accessories on Etsy – Fashion Round-up

If you want to accessorize your favourite outfit with a bit of geektastic bling, look no further than good old Etsy to find the right accessory for you. Whether it’s a statement necklace with a Cthulhu pendant, or a pair of silver plated Legen dary cufflinks that would make Barney Stinson himself high five you.

Be prepared for a lot of handmade geekery coming your way, as I walk you through some of my favourite dorky pieces of jewellery on Etsy. Click the pictures for buy links.

Edgar Allen Poe necklace with The Raven quote from Etsy's The Lycine Contingency

For the book geeks – Edgar Allen Poe and quote necklace

I have to confess that this is my favourite of the bunch – so much so that I actually own it myself. Made by Jamison Jontry from Etsy shop The Lysine Contingency (which has to be one of the coolest shops on Etsy) this is a double-sided pendant sporting a portrait of the man himself on the front, and his quote All That We See Or Seem Is But A Dream Within A Dream on the back. (£8.60 +, depending on the length of the chain you pick).

Typewriter cufflinks by Etsy's KfiatekGiftedHands

For the writer – Customized typewriter cuff links

So stylish, much typewriter keys, many customized with your own initials. These customized black cuff links (brass base and platinum colour), made from real typewriter keys, are a definite classy added touch to any suit and tie combo. Made by Ewa from KfiatekGiftedHands on Etsy, these gorgeous pieces are £24.50 a set.

For the Potterhead – Hogwarts crest hair bow hair clip

Fashionable fans of the Harry Potter saga, rejoice. This stylish and gorgeous hair bow, with the Hogwarts school crest printed all over it, is completely handmade from start to finish by the ladies at Lavender Latte. One of these cuties costs only £3.30.

For the old school geek – Star Wars fabric handbag

If this isn’t the coolest handbag I’ve ever seen, then I don’t know what I’ve got waiting for me. Made from cotton, leather and “geek fabric” (quoting the page verbatim), this awesome Star Wars bag (£39.94, made by marededesigns) is sturdy enough to keep several books in. Which is always a good thing in my book.
