USB Typewriter from Etsy

October 8, 2010 By Emma Cossey

USB Typewriter from EtsyThe closer we move towards touch screen technology, the less need there is for bulky keyboards. But one Etsy seller is rebelling against it all by bringing the retro typewriter back into the 21st century.

USBtypewriter has pimped up some old typewriters to work with PCs, Macs and even your iPad. You can connect it up, type away and the words will transfer over to your screen.

So you get the nice clicky clacky experience with the benefit of a delete button. Bye bye Tippex!

The USB Typewriters start from around $499, and they’ve also got DIY USB Typewriter Conversion Kits from $49 if you fancy updating your own typewriter.

Neat, huh?!
