The Fast Show Re-Returns – Dork Preview

The Fast ShowReturning today, it’s The Fast Show. But not on the TV, no, they’ve moved on to the Foster’s website, which has been gathering cult comedy talent under their Foster’s Funny brand name, including Alan Partridge and Reeves & Mortimer.

Created by Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson, The Fast Show was hugely influential in the 90s, peddling the high-speed catchphrase-based sketch comedy that has remained popular in the form of Little Britain. It returned with Foster’s in November 2011, bringing us Fast mocking of the London riots and Downton Abbey, among others.

And evidently that went pretty well, because they’re back as of today, for another six episodes at 1PM every Thursday. Watch the all new Fast Show trailer below, and if you find yourself nostalgic for Ted, Ralph and co, catch the full episodes on the Foster’s site as of 1PM.

So, with the success of this Fast Show revamp and the acclaimed Alan Partridge’s Mid-Morning Matters, is this the future of cult TV? Revival on the web courtesy of a corporate sponsor? Does this bother you, or are you happy to take whatever you can get of your favourites?
