Knit A Monster! – A Knitted Alien Face-Hugger

He's coming for you... still cute though.

If you thought the Alien-series wasn’t exactly the place to go look for crafty inspiration, think again. This knitted interpretation of the infamous “face-hugger” is just the kind of challenge for the more experienced knitters amongst us.

Designer loudxmouse warns that this is a very piquant pattern and not for people who haven’t knitted stuffed animals before. But for those of you who have and are looking for the perfect geeky project, I’d give this one a go!

If you attempt this one, please let me know, because I’d love to see the results!

You can get the pattern for free (and with lots and lots of pictures included) from Craftster, along with many other ideas for a crafty afternoon.

Oh, and just as loudxmouse says, don’t let this one too near to your other toys. For… reasons.

Check out our Craft tag for more geeky craft projects, including Dalek hats, Octonauts crochet patterns and a sea of Amigurumi ideas.
